API Heavy Weight Drill Pipe
Product Introduction
Our Heavy Weight Drill Pipes (HWDP) are manufactured in strict accordance with API SPEC 7-1, API RP7G, and NS-1 standards. HWDP is designed to withstand both tensile and compressive loads. It serves as a transitional component between the drill pipe and the drill collar, preventing abrupt changes in the cross-sectional area of the drill string. This significantly reduces fatigue failure of the drill pipe. By replacing a portion of the drill collars, HWDP helps to reduce the overall hoisting load and enhance the drilling depth capacity of the rig.
- Size Range: All sizes from 2-7/8” to 6-5/8”, including 5-7/8”.
- Type: Integral and Welded.
- Applicable Standards: API Spec 7-1, API Spec 7-2, API RP7G, DS-1, and NS-1.
